Blog 01: Background

Brian Weir - Background

I am a junior studying economics and Spanish. While these are the areas I focus on the most, they are certainly not my only interests. Since I was undecided for my first two years (and sometimes feel like I still am) I have explored psychology, philosophy, sociology, and computer science. My favorite class so far has been Western Heritage so I am excited to be in a Great Ideas course. I decided to take this class because I have been curious about the origins of math and I hope to leave it with a better sense of logic and math.

I am from Racine and am the second youngest of seven. I enjoy comedy and listening to podcasts when I can. I work as a Resident Assistant, and am a member of Philosophy Club, Student Government, and Carthage Activities Board. My future plans are unknown.
